When he {Frederick J. Schwartz} was three, his family moved to a small farm in Princeton, Minnesota. Over the next ten years, many events took place which eventually led to the creation of Rondy and his friends. Especially close to the author is Roscue, the ghost, who was an imaginary resident of the hay barn on their farm in Princeton. Roscoe provided a special companionship during the sometimes lonely days of childhood.
