Little Tyke Grows Up (Used Paperback) - Mary Ellen Mayer

 Mary Ellen is the story of my Mother's life from birth to her marriage to my father, H. Clark Baird. She was born in 1918 on the family farm near Canton South Dakota. She was delivered by her grandmother, Isabelle Dahl Anderson Sletten, who is the subject of my first book, "Isabelle" Dakota Prairie Pioneer Wife and Mother. Because of a sever rain storm, the doctor was unable to be present at the birth, so grandma took over.

The story tells of life on the farm in the 1920's and 1930's, the joys and trials that were endured.
